Meet Dr. Paul Rolfes, DDS, MSD, MPH
Dr. Paul Rolfes enjoys working alongside Dr. Robert Miller and the team at Miller Orthodontics to provide exceptional care for their patients. Having been born and raised in St. Paul, Dr. Rolfes loves treating the community that contributed so much to his own upbringing. He began his professional career as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy, living in Florida and Japan. While in the Navy, he worked alongside an orthodontist, which allowed him to see the effect that a straighter smile can have on a patient’s confidence.
Inspired then to pursue the orthodontic specialty, Dr. Rolfes now focuses on modern orthodontic treatment, including clear aligners, braces, airway orthodontics, and early treatment. He’s proud to call himself a lifelong learner and is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to improve the orthodontic patient experience.
Professional Background
Dr. Rolfes received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at St. John’s University and later achieved his Master of Public Health and Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Minnesota. He went on to receive his Master of Science and Orthodontic Certificate at the University of Colorado, solidifying his expertise in the orthodontic field.
Increasingly, Dr. Rolfes has treated orthognathic surgery cases in Hastings and Inver Grove Heights, partnering with surgeons who are just as detail-oriented and collaborative as Miller Orthodontics is. He is also able to place TADs (Temporary Anchorage Devices), MSE (Maxillary Skeletal Expansion) appliances, and perform other complex procedures, setting him apart from most orthodontists in the area.

As an orthodontic provider, Dr. Rolfes’ overall mission is to provide high-quality care and deliver results that patients can be proud of, always treating others as he would want to be treated. His belief that communication is key in every case means you can expect a transparent, clear process from start to finish under his care. For Dr. Rolfes, the best part of his day is seeing his patients react to their brand new smiles. Every patient that he treats inspires him to keep making a difference.
Outside of the Office
When he’s not thinking about straightening teeth, Dr. Rolfes enjoys spending time with his wife and children, especially outdoors. He loves mountain biking, fishing, hiking, skiing, and any excuse to spend time in the beautiful Minnesota wilderness.
